2. Delivery Charge Calculation

Delivery charges are calculated based on the method, the specifics of your order, and your location.

Pallet Deliveries (Hedging & Multi-stems): Price is primarily based on the number of pallets required and your postcode/delivery zone.

Specialist Courier (Standard & Pleached Trees): Price is based on distance from our nursery, product quantity, and product size (e.g., height/girth).

Your Final Pricing Table: The definitive delivery cost for your order will be calculated and displayed clearly at the checkout stage once you have entered your delivery address.

3. Essential Delivery Information & Access

Due to the nature of the items we sell, it is crucial that you read and adhere to the following access requirements. Failure to do so may result in delays or re-delivery charges.

For Pallet Deliveries (Hedging and Multi-stems):

Vehicle Size: Pallet deliveries typically arrive on a large articulated lorry (up to 18 tonnes, similar in size to a refuse collection vehicle).

Access Restrictions: You must inform us at the time of order if there are any restrictions, such as:

Narrow roads or lanes

Weight or height restrictions (e.g., low bridges or overhead cables)

Overhanging trees/branches

Access via a cul-de-sac or difficult turns

Time restrictions (e.g., near schools or Red Routes)

Kerbside Drop-off: Delivery is kerbside only. The driver will use a tail lift to lower the pallet and a manual pump truck to move it.

The pump truck can only operate on a hard, flat, and level surface (e.g., tarmac or concrete). It cannot move over gravel, grass, steep slopes, or uneven ground.

The pallet will be left at the nearest safe and accessible hard standing to your property boundary.

The driver is not responsible for removing the plants from the pallet or moving them further onto your property.

For Specialist Courier Van Deliveries (Standard & Pleached Trees):

Hand Unloading: These deliveries often involve careful, sometimes manual, unloading due to the size and fragility of the plants.

Assistance: For very large specimens, we may require one fit and able person to be present at the delivery address to assist the driver with unloading. We will inform you in advance if this is required.

4. Receiving Your Order

Contact Details: Please ensure we have a valid email address and mobile phone number, as the courier may use these to provide delivery updates or contact you regarding access.

Signature: A signature is not always required, but it is highly recommended that someone is present to accept and immediately check the plants. If no one is available, the driver will leave the delivery in the safest place possible, and the risk of loss or damage passes to you.

Immediate Inspection: Upon delivery, please immediately unpack and inspect your plants and compare them against your order confirmation.

24-Hour Damage Rule: As per our Returns Policy, if you find any damage or fault with your plants or packaging, you must contact us and provide photographs within 24 hours of delivery.
